Hey everyone, so being we just launched RedRoverStyle.com, featuring lifestyle and charity for social people, I get to remain very close to the the anti-sex trafficking movement. My husband Jon and I are advocates for this cause by making it our social responsibility to help raise awareness, volunteer, and fundraise for organizations like Gems Girls who provide restoration and mentorship to young ladies who have been sex trafficked. We'll also be working hands-on with some local groups who are making waves in this area.{Reality Check} My good friend, Danae Hudson, shared a horrific story with me that just came out from the AP Press. A NJ teen sold stepsister, 7, for party sex. > Can this not be more heart breaking? This is why Jon and I got involved in in the anti-sex trafficking movement over 15 months ago because as we are torn a part by the realities of a world where young, beautiful ladies are having their innocence stolen. Hearing about a sister prostituting her sister in my home state is beyond painful ... I cannot help but imagine myself in this little girl's shoes. The fear, the shame, the tears, and the betrayal of someone you trust is agonizing.
Sex trafficking in America continues to grow. More reports are coming out everyday. Do your part and tell a few friends. If you're looking for resources, contact me at Rachaell.Ann@gmail.com. I'll help you get connected with the right people to begin advocating for this cause.
If you don't know what sex trafficking is, over 300,000 children and teens are being sold and prostituted while being beaten, threatened, and drugged. This is enslavement.
I hope you will continue reading here, and be sure to check out my column on RedRoverStyle.com.
La, la, la - Love,
Rachael Ann
